Your home in Naija Life decides how much space you have for furniture, guests and cars, and what you pay every week. Mushin, Yaba and Lekki are the three starting homes in Lagos; Victoria Island, Magodo, Ikoyi and Banana Island are move-in only, so you work your way up to them. You can rent any of them, or save up and buy one outright so the rent stops for good. All figures below are the game's own in-game naira, not real-world prices.

Which starting home should you choose?
Mushin has the lowest weekly rent, ₦420, and a compact room. The cheaper bill leaves room in the budget, but the basic furnishings make recovery part of the challenge. Yaba's self-contain is the middle ground at ₦1,050. Lekki's mini-flat has more space, separate rooms and a carport for one car, and the highest rent of the three at ₦3,000 a week. All three start you with ₦10,000.
Choose based on the routine you want to play. Low rent is useful while learning the six needs and experimenting with a career. More space only helps if you can keep paying for it.
When is rent due?
The game checks rent when the in-game day rolls into Saturday. If your wallet covers it, the payment is deducted automatically. If it does not, the game applies a sapa moodlet and records landlord palava in the log. Set money aside before the day changes rather than waiting for a last-minute shift. A home you own is never charged.
What does moving cost?
Moving into a rented home requires one week's rent up front as a deposit, so a move into the Lekki mini-flat needs ₦3,000 in your wallet and the Ikoyi duplex ₦44,000. Moving into a home you already own needs no deposit at all.
Buying a home outright
Every home can be bought for 104 weeks of its rent, two years paid at once. The Mushin room costs ₦43,680 to own; the Lekki mini-flat ₦312,000; the Banana Island mansion ₦27,040,000. Once it is yours, that home charges no Saturday rent and no moving deposit for as long as you play, so a home you own is somewhere you can always come back to.
Buying is a long-term goal, not a first-week move. A sensible order is to own a cheap home first, which takes the weekly bill off the table, then rent upward while you save for the next purchase. Homes cannot be sold yet, so buy the one you mean to keep.
Garages, staff and luxury
Bigger homes come with room for cars: one in a mini flat, two in a serviced apartment or terrace duplex, three at a detached duplex and five at a mansion. Luxury pieces such as a pool or a fountain need a home grand enough to hold them, and household staff, from a house help to a driver, can be hired once your home can carry them. See the staff and furniture data for what each costs.
Does your furniture move with you?
Yes. Moving takes your existing furniture along. Objects that do not fit the new layout are pulled back inside the home's grid. A smaller home can become cramped, so review your room after moving. Do not assume a luxury address includes a new set of furniture.
Billboards and plots are a separate city feature
Your home is where your Lagosian lives; a billboard banner or a map plot is a seven-day advert that other players see. A banner costs ₦1,000,000 of game money and a plot ₦250,000 to ₦1,250,000. Neither replaces your home or its rent. The advertising guide explains how to put one up.
Build income before upgrading
Use the careers and earnings guide to compare shifts and promotion skills. Track what you actually earn after performance changes, then compare a full week's income with the new rent. An address that consumes all your earnings leaves little room for recovery or travel.
